A CHAOTIC Way To Lead in CHAOS

The CHAOTIC Leadership Model is a set of principles that enable us to perform despite the chaos around us. The acronym stands for:

Control what you can

Honesty with yourself and others

Act, don’t react

Open yourself to help

Take charge of yourself

Inspire a positive difference

Concentrate on the bigger picture.

Engage in positive constructive daydreaming

Try traveling with your mind to someplace enjoyable — maybe it's a stroll through an imaginary forest or sunbathing on a warm, sandy beach. Pair your daydreaming with some form of low-key activity such as walking, knitting, gardening.

Doing so — especially when working hard on a project — will help to open up the brain's "default mode network."
